Waterlillies

I love this time of year when the sun is lower in the sky and the water reflections take center stage. This piece is currently at Art Sales and Rental Gallery

I put down my brushes and paint and picked up my needle and thread to create this brooch bouquet for my niece's wedding. It is made from antique brooches and all the flowers are hand made from silk and organza. I really enjoy stepping outside my fine art box to create other items.

Wisteria

This piece was about texture and color. There is a lot of relief in the waterfall effect of the wisteria and I am pleased with the quality of the purples and neutrals.

Magenta Mood

Another loose floral. I am working at being freer and more expressive and of course color harmony is still a preoccupation. It has now sold, thank you Hydrostone Gallery!

Orient

This is an exploration in surface texture again, it is built on a gold leaf base with a red crackle finish in portions. Using a heavier black line for emphasis is something I am playing with. This is quite big at 30x40. It is available at Art Sales and Rental in Halifax.
