- People are often envious of artists as they think we are free spirits, our schedules are our own. Not true. I have a boss....creativity. I do get frustrated with my boss and the challenges he presents me and his relentless need for me to improve and grow. Sometimes I sneak a mental health day. But then I am eager to get back to work. Color excites me. Light inspires me. The endless possibilities that are available in creating art will forever be stimulating. I like it when people see themselves in my art. Their memories, their inspirations.

Redhead
This is a lovely painting. Louise, is this painting oil? What size is it? I like the colours and that you've done a dark background. It reminds me of one of my favorite artists - Tom Thompson.

ReplyDeleteIt is acrylic. Its just little about 9 x 12. I have a big spot in my heart for peonies!!
